Key supporters of the expo included the Presidency’s Strategy and Budget Office, Izmir Institute of Technology, Izmir Development Agency, and YABISAK | Software and Informatics Industrialists Cluster Association.
One of the key highlights of the IST Expo was the University Information Management System (ÜBYS) developed by İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University with the support of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye’s Strategy and Budget Directorate. Launched in 2011, the project has grown into a leading example of synergy in public sector digital transformation. As noted by Rector Prof. Dr. Saffet Köse, ÜBYS is more than just software—it is a strategic success that enhances public resource efficiency, fosters collaborative work among institutions, and holds the potential to set a national standard for higher education IT systems.
With its strong turnout, diverse participation, and future-focused agenda, IST EXPO 2025 successfully contributed to the digital empowerment of institutions and professionals across Türkiye.
